On the afternoon of November 22th, “Wuwen Rhythms, Enjoy with You”, an international cultural exchange gala, was held with the purpose of promoting Chinese traditional culture and Chinese-foreign cultural exchanges. The gala was sponsored by School of International Education, AUFE Communist Youth League Committee, Student Union, Chinese Martial Arts Association and Chinese Study Association. All foreign students participated.
On the spot, Chinese and foreign students gathered together and enjoyed a unique cultural feast. In the song and dance performance session, Chinese students performed folk dance “Guanshan Wine” and classical dance “State of Etiquette”, which won the warm applause of international students. In the martial arts performance session, martial arts players exhibit exquisite skills, rigid and flexible movements, which marveled all the students on the scene. The final program of Chinese dress walking show further let the international students intuitively appreciate the beauty of Chinese culture. Interactive sessions were also set by inviting international students to experience dance, martial arts and other forms of performance on stage, and international students raced to participate and experience the unique charm of Chinese culture. After the gala, some international students said that through this activity, they not only deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture, but also established deep friendship with Chinese students.
The success of this international cultural exchange activity has provided a platform for our international students to have a close understanding of Chinese traditional culture. In the future, AUFE will continue to carry out rich and diversified international cultural exchange activities to create an internationalized atmosphere.
