As the 41st Teachers’ Day approached, to extend festive greetings to the hardworking foreign teachers, the International Exchange Center of Anhui University of Finance and Economics carefully organized a Teachers’ Day celebration and a new semester foreign teachers’ symposium on the afternoon of September 10th. Cheng Xiwu, Director of the International Exchange Center, Zhang Ziqian, Deputy Director, and foreign teachers from South Korea, Japan, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, and the United Kingdom attended the symposium.
At the beginning of the event, Cheng Xiwu, on behalf of the university, extended sincere festive blessings to all foreign teachers. In his speech, he pointed out that foreign teachers are an important force in the international education system of Anhui University of Finance and Economics. For a long time, with their professional teaching literacy and rich cross-cultural experience, all foreign teachers have brought diverse knowledge perspectives to students and injected vitality into the university's international education and cultural exchanges. The university has always attached great importance to the development of the foreign teacher team; in the future, it will continue to optimize the work and life support services for foreign teachers and create a better teaching and living environment for them.
During the warm celebration session, the International Exchange Center prepared flowers and greeting cards for each foreign teacher, conveying the university's attention to foreign teachers. The foreign teachers expressed their gratitude one after another. Jae, a foreign teacher from South Africa, said that this was the second Teachers' Day he had spent at Anhui University of Finance and Economics. Every time, he could feel the university's care and warmth. This care made him feel a stronger sense of belonging and more motivated to devote himself to teaching work.
Subsequently, Zhang Ziqian introduced and explained matters related to foreign teachers' work environment, teaching standards, safety management, and ideological work in the new semester. He stated that after the symposium, the center would systematically sort out the suggestions put forward by the foreign teachers, and work with relevant departments to formulate specific implementation plans to ensure that every reasonable suggestion is transformed into practical measures to promote the improvement of the university's international education quality.
This Teachers' Day celebration and new semester foreign teachers' symposium made foreign teachers feel the university's care and warmth. In the future, the International Exchange Center will continue to strengthen the development of the foreign teacher team, enrich the university's international education resources, and contribute more to cultivating high-quality talents with a global perspective.
